Met Dynamics Models
Mineral processing models and analytical tools for Microsoft Excel and SysCAD.
Use a common model library for comminution, classification, beneficiation and dewatering. Apply individual calculations in Excel or build integrated steady-state and dynamic flowsheets in SysCAD.
Evaluate equipment and circuit configurations, calibrate plant models, and investigate how ore properties and operating conditions affect throughput, product size and metallurgical performance.

Model scope
Comminution and beneficiation in one flowsheet
A change in grinding conditions can alter the size distribution entering flotation. A different ore blend can affect both comminution and separation. Representing those stages together allows the consequences for throughput, recovery and product quality to be evaluated within the same model.
Multicomponent modelling distinguishes ore types and size-dependent properties, including density, grade, hardness, liberation, floatability and magnetism where relevant to the selected formulations. This supports ore blending, geometallurgy, mine-to-mill analysis and production forecasting.
- Comminution

Interfaces and calibration
Use the models in Excel and SysCAD
The Excel and SysCAD interfaces draw on the same underlying model library. Parameters fitted in Excel can be used with the corresponding formulation in SysCAD, linking focused equipment calculations and calibration with integrated flowsheet studies.
Microsoft Excel
Call unit models directly from the formula bar using the Met Dynamics Models Excel Add-In and work with the results in ordinary cell ranges. Combine model outputs with Excel analysis and charting, or use Solver for nonlinear fitting against laboratory, sample or plant data.
Use supporting calculation tools and common mineral processing equations alongside the unit models for focused engineering calculations and data analysis.
Templates and examples provide starting points for unit model calculations, parameter fitting, and analytical workflows.

SysCAD
Build integrated steady-state and dynamic flowsheets using Met Dynamics mineral processing models within SysCAD. Mineral processing and beneficiation can be connected directly with hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical and utility systems in the same project.
For dynamic applications, SysCAD also provides the materials handling, hydraulic and process control framework required to represent plant interactions through time.
SysCAD Help provides unit model documentation, configuration guidance and example projects for Met Dynamics Models.

Process response, inventory and production through time
Met Dynamics Models includes dynamic formulations for process units where internal inventory and residence time affect performance, including AG/SAG, ball and stirred mills and flotation cells. These can be combined with materials handling, three-dimensional bulk solids storage, process control and longer-horizon production simulation in SysCAD.
